Football Recap: Genesee/Colton WA Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Deary

Genesee/Colton WA faced Deary in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Genesee/Colton WA lost 52-32 to Deary. If Genesee/Colton WA was looking for revenge after losing 42-20 to Deary when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

It was another big night for Jarrett Keen, who rushed for 186 yards and four scores on only 11 carries, and also threw for 101 yards and one TD on perfect 5-for-5 passing for Deary. Those 186 rushing yards gave Keen a new career-high. Cooper Dammerman was another key player, rushing for 68 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries.

Having lost for the first time this season, Genesee/Colton WA fell to 7-1. As for Deary, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

As of now, neither Genesee/Colton WA nor Deary have any future games scheduled.
