Recap: Center Cougars vs. Marysville Indians
The Center Cougars lost against the Marysville Indians on January 5th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Center was the victim of a tough 72-47 loss at the hands of the Indians. Center has not had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Center's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Terrill Reid, who scored 17 points along with three steals. Reid has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andy McLear, who scored 13 points.
Center has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season. As for Marysville, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.
Center will head out on the road to challenge the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sutter will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Marysville, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in California (Colfax is ranked 558th, while the Indians are ranked 555th).
