After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Michigan Aviation Academy, Algoma Christian was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging an 80-44 win over Libertas Christian. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 26 points or more this season.

Algoma Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lucas Bouma, who went 5 for 10 to rack up 15 points and seven assists. Those seven assists gave Bouma a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Narva, who went 5 of 11 en route to 15 points and three steals.

Algoma Christian's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.1 points. As for Libertas Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Algoma Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Zion Christian at 6:15 p.m. on February 24th. Libertas Christian will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. on February 20th.
