Volleyball Recap: Apollo Gets the Win

The Apollo Hawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Dobson Mustangs on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Apollo took Dobson into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-21, 22-25, 23-25, 15-12.

Jesus Jacinto was nothing short of spectacular: he had 39 digs and four assists. Those 39 digs gave him a new career-high.

The win got Apollo back to even at 12-12. As for Dobson, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-13.

Coming up, Apollo will square off against Millennium at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dobson, they will host Mountain View at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
