Softball Recap: Monroe Central Seminoles vs. Magnolia Blue Eagles
Monroe Central won the last time they faced Magnolia and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Seminoles came out on top against the Blue Eagles by a score of 6-1.
Karlie Haslam made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over 11 innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-6 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jadyn Miller, who scored a run while going 2-for-5. Reese Binegar was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
