Baseball Recap: Westview Extends Winning Streak to Three

Westview had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They never let the Columbia City Eagles get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly three runs.

Westview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Engle, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Engle has posted since back in June of 2024.

Westview's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Columbia City, they dropped their record down to 15-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westview will challenge Fairfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia City, they will face off against Norwell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
