Basketball Game Preview: Lowndes Vikings vs. Tift County Blue Devils

The Lowndes Vikings will face off against the Tift County Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lowndes is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

On Tuesday, Lowndes earned a 46-34 win over Richmond Hill. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Wildcats are ranked 172nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tift County humbled Richmond Hill with a 55-23 victory. With the Blue Devils ahead 37-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Lowndes' victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Tift County, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.

Lowndes couldn't quite finish off Tift County in their previous matchup back in February of 2025 and fell 57-55. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
