Basketball Game Preview: Langley Saxons vs. Herndon Hornets

The Langley Saxons will square off against the Herndon Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Wednesday, Langley didn't have too much trouble with Lake Braddock as they won 70-56. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Saxons.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Herndon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Washington-Liberty on Monday as Herndon made off with a 65-42 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Hornets have posted since December 23, 2024.

Langley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Herndon, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
