Soccer Recap: Lima Central Catholic Starts Season with Win Against Van Wert

Lima Central Catholic gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Van Wert Cougars.

Lima Central Catholic's offense was hitting Van Wert from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Corie Schnieders led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Lima Central Catholic has already played their next match, a 5-1 defeat against Allen East on the 25th. As for Van Wert, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Celina at 5:00 p.m. on September 8.
