Basketball Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering Phoenix 76-49. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Phoenix are ranked 128th).

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Hamilton will take on Fairley in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fayette Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th.
