Floyd Central scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They and the Fleming County Panthers were almost perfectly matched up, but the Jaguars suffered a 53-52 loss. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (36), the Jaguars still had to take the loss.

Ketrin Mays threw for 401 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.9 yards per attempt. Elijah Little was his top target, picking up 156 receiving yards.

Floyd Central's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Fleming County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Floyd Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fleming County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bourbon County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Colonels' defense has only allowed 13.1 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
