Volleyball Recap: Nashville Christian Eagles vs. Franklin Road Academy Panthers

After flying high against Ezell-Harding Christian on Thursday, Nashville Christian came back down to earth. The Eagles came up short against the Franklin Road Academy Panthers on Monday, falling 3-0. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in August of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-8, 25-9.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin Road Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ren Spencer, who had 20 assists and five aces. Spencer is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 35 games she's played dating back to last season. Savannah Sullivan was another key player, getting 14 digs and two aces.

Nashville Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Franklin Road Academy, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3.
