Volleyball Recap: Andrada Polytechnic Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Thatcher, Andrada Polytechnic was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over The Gregory School Hawks.

Andrada Polytechnic had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 26-24, 25-18, 25-20.

The Gregory School's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Cox, who had 14 digs.

Andrada Polytechnic is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for The Gregory School, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-9.

Looking ahead, Andrada Polytechnic will square off against Sabino at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for The Gregory School, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Augustine Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on the 21st.
