Recap: Hillcrest Knights vs. Shelley Russets

The Hillcrest Knights had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.4 points), and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They strolled past Shelley with points to spare, taking the game 70-56. Given Hillcrest's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while Shelley is ranked 65th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ike Sutton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with five assists and two steals. He hasn't dropped below 20 points for four straight games. Talan Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two steals.

Hillcrest's win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Shelley, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Hillcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shelley also has no future games currently scheduled.
