Cahokia scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 71-64 to the Marion Wildcats. The loss continues a trend for the Comanches in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Cahokia lost, don't look at Taven Miller. Despite the final result, he went 9-for-17 en route to 28 points. Machai Henderson was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Marion's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mahki House, who shot 61% from the field to rack up 30 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cameron Curry, who went 7-for-14 on his way to 18 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Cahokia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Cahokia has already played their next contest, a 73-63 loss against Mascoutah on the 8th. As for Marion, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 78-57 victory against Freeburg on the 6th.
