East Longmeadow lost against Longmeadow back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 2-1. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Nick Rocca put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Rocca was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

East Longmeadow's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Longmeadow, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

East Longmeadow will challenge Central at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Longmeadow, they will head out to square off against Northampton at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
