If Maryville was riding high fresh off their 14-1 takedown of Bishop LeBlond last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spoofhounds fell just short of the Savannah Savages by a score of 5-4 on Monday. Surprisingly, this marked the Spoofhounds' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Maryville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin McAtee, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Maryville dropped their record down to 13-19 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Savannah, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-11.
As of now, neither Maryville nor the Savages have any future games scheduled.
