Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alleghany). Their defense stepped up to hand the East Wilkes Cardinals a 9-0 shutout on Wednesday. It was an even better day for Brian Orduna as he scored three goals for his team.

Alleghany's victory ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 4-12-3. As for East Wilkes, their loss dropped their record down to 0-19.
