Splendora won the last time they faced Porter and things went their way on Monday too. The Wildcats skirted past the Spartans 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for Splendora as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Splendora's win bumped their record up to 9-12-3. As for Porter, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's still a better percentage than their 1-10-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Splendora and Porter will both be playing Kingwood Park the next time they take the pitch. The Spartans will head out to face the Panthers at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 11th.
