Clopton wins going away against North Callaway

Recap: Clopton Hawks vs. North Callaway Thunderbirds

The Clopton Hawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past North Callaway 75-52. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Clopton had established a 22 point advantage.

Despite the loss, North Callaway had strong showings from Isiah Craighead, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Sam Pezold, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Craighead is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Paul Russell, who scored seven points.

The win got Clopton back to even at 4-4. As for North Callaway, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Clopton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Louisiana at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for North Callaway, they will face off against Bowling Green at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bowling Green is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
