Basketball Game Preview: Evansville Reitz Panthers vs. Boonville Pioneers

Evansville Reitz hasn't had much luck against Boonville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Evansville Reitz Panthers will welcome the Boonville Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Evansville Reitz is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since December 16, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Breckinridge County by a score of 41-38. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Fighting Tigers 11-6 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Boonville came up short against Heritage Hills on Thursday and fell 60-51. The Pioneers have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Evansville Reitz's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Boonville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

Evansville Reitz beat Boonville 58-48 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Will Evansville Reitz repeat their success, or does Boonville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
