Lake Fenton came tearing into Wednesday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Goodrich Martians. This was a revenge game for the Blue Devils: when they faced off against the Martians back in September, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Lake Fenton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 21-25, 25-18, 27-25, 15-10.

Lake Fenton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Molly Rhind led the charge by getting 26 assists and eight digs. That's the most assists Rhind has posted since back in September. Madelyn Teffner was another key player, getting 20 assists and five digs.

Lake Fenton's victory bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Goodrich, their defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-11-1.

Lake Fenton and Goodrich should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Blue Devils (ranked 115th) will meet Brandon (ranked 290th) at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Goodrich will square off against Clio at 6:15 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (102 vs. 408).
