Baseball Game Preview: Orosi Cardinals vs. Farmersville Aztecs

The Orosi Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Farmersville Aztecs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Orosi is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Orange Cove just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Titans, falling 10-1. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 20, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Anthony Garcia was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Garcia is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Farmersville entered their tilt with Summit Charter Collegiate Academy on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Bears by a score of 10-7. That's two games straight that the Aztecs have won by exactly three runs.

Farmersville's win bumped their record up to 7-10-1. As for Orosi, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10-1.

Orosi skirted past Farmersville 13-12 in their previous matchup on April 8th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
