Basketball Recap: Bonney Lake Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bonney Lake can now relate to. They fell just short of the Kentridge Chargers by a score of 52-50 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since January 3rd.

Andrea Pop went supernova for Kentridge, going 7-for-10 to rack up 17 points and seven boards. Those 17 points gave Pop a new career-high. Jayla Keowla was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds.

Bonney Lake has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-9 record this season. As for Kentridge, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.

Bonney Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kentridge, they will take on Olympia at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
