After a string of five wins, Bernie's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Holcomb Hornets by a score of 16-15. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mules of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Bernie's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Holcomb, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-6.

Bernie didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-7 victory against Scott City on the 21st. As for Holcomb, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 21-2 win against North Pemiscot on the 18th.
