Preview: Tupper Lake Lumberjacks vs. Chazy Eagles
Tupper Lake is 0-3 against Chazy since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Tupper Lake Lumberjacks will be playing at home against the Chazy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Tupper Lake is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 49-11, which was the final score in Tupper Lake's tilt against Schroon Lake last Friday.
In what's become a running theme this season, Chazy gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 55-29 margin over Indian Lake Central. Chazy's victory was all the more impressive since Indian Lake Central was averaging only 28.88 points allowed on the season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chazy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carly LaPierre, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Samantha Gonyo-Lafountain, who scored 13 points.
Tupper Lake bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road. As for Chazy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
