Mt. Pleasant came tearing into Thursday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Princeton Panthers by a score of 60-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Mt. Pleasant's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Princeton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Mt. Pleasant Tigers face off against the Lufkin Panthers at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Pleasant knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Lufkin likes a good challenge. As for Princeton, they will venture away from home to face off against Prosper at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
