Volleyball Recap: Pinnacle Comes Up Short

After flying high against Dugway on Tuesday, Pinnacle came back down to earth. The Panthers fell just short of the American Prep WV Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-20 in the first set.

Pinnacle wouldn't go down easily and took American Prep WV into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-14, 23-25, 25-10, 17-15.

Sabre Craig paced Pinnacle's offense, picking up six kills. Craig got some help from Xylee Perry and her eight assists. Perry was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Pinnacle now has a losing record of 2-3.

Pinnacle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Wendover on the 15th. As for American Prep WV, they will venture away from home to take on Intermountain Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
