With a playoff game on the line, the St. Bede Bruins rose to the challenge on Monday. They took down the Aces 70-54. The win was familiar territory for St. Bede who now have 18 in a row.
St. Bede was led to victory by Ella Hermes and Ali Bosnich. Hermes scored 19 points along with eight rebounds, while Bosnich dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hermes has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Bosnich, who scored six points along with two steals.
St. Bede has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 23 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 29-7 record this season. As for Ida Crown Jewish Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 20-4.
St. Bede's road trip will continue as they head out to face Okawville at 11:15 a.m. on February 29th. Okawville will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something St. Bede surely won't give up without a fight. Ida Crown Jewish Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
