Football Recap: Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove Takes a Loss

Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove fell victim to Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 42-0 defeat at the hands of the Eagles. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Herds were not able to get on the board.

Leading Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton to victory were Brayden Gibbs and Thandon Bensink. Gibbs threw for 143 yards and two touchdowns, while Bensink rushed for 81 yards and one score. A healthy portion of Gibbs' aerial production (82 yards to be exact) went to Devin Hewes.

Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove's loss dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
