Football Recap: Schenectady Comes Up Short

Schenectady had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it four. They took a blow against the Colonie Central Wolfpack, falling 66-0. The Patriots lost against the Wolfpack in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 40-12 score last time.

As for Colonie Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Steven Thomas produced another solid performance throwing for 85 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His passing game has become a key predictor of Colonie Central's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.

Schenectady wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 48-0 loss against Shaker on the 24th. As for Colonie Central, they have also already played their next matchup, a 35-15 win against Guilderland on the 24th.
