Baseball Preview: South Gibson Hornets vs. University School of Jackson Bruins        
        
		
            The South Gibson Hornets will challenge the University School of Jackson Bruins at 3:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The last three games South Gibson has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
South Gibson is headed into the  game having just  posted their closest  victory since April 15th on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Chester County  6-4.

  Tyler Dehaan tossed a big game,   tossing six innings while giving up  four earned runs off   five  hits. What's more,  he posted five  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in March.
Meanwhile, University School of Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They lost  11-4 to Riverside.
 University School of Jackson saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Nash Kilburn, who  went 1-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 South Gibson has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for University School of Jackson, their loss dropped their record down to 13-13.
Saturday's   contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. South Gibson hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .330. However, it's not like University School of Jackson struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
