Softball Recap: Jacksboro Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Jacksboro waltzed into their contest on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Eagle Mountain Knights.

Brooke Reaves spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Starr Wesson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Holly Lehman, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Jacksboro's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Eagle Mountain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-13-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jacksboro will head out to face off against Tolar at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eagle Mountain, they will venture away from home to challenge Benbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
