Soccer Game Preview: Irondale vs. Forest Lake

The Irondale Knights will take on the Forest Lake Rangers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses apiece.

Friday just wasn't the day for Irondale's offense. They came up short against Duluth East on Friday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Irondale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota soccer rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Duluth East are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, Forest Lake also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 10-0 to Woodbury on Thursday.

Forest Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Irondale, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Irondale suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Forest Lake in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
