Soccer Recap: Westfield Takes a Loss

Westfield had taken Harrison down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Shamrocks fell 2-0 to the Raiders. While losing is never fun, Westfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Harrison are ranked third).

Westfield has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8-1 record this season. As for Harrison, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-0-3.

Westfield has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Plainfield on the 27th. As for Harrison, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against Carmel on the 30th.
