After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Berry in the second quarter, the Swordsmen led 20-13 at the half.
Garland Christian Academy grew its lead to 14 points entering the fourth quarter. GCA's lone score in the quarter came on a Berry touchdown run.
A 55-16 Garland Christian Academy victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The win brought Garland Christian Academy's winning streak to four games.
In a TAPPS Division III District 3 game next week Highlands (1-5) takes on First Baptist, and Garland Christian Academy (4-3) will go up against Dallas Lutheran also in a TAPPS Division III District 3 game.
