Volleyball Recap: Livermore Cowboys vs. Foothill Falcons
Livermore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Foothill Falcons, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.
Livermore took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-10, 25-15.
Jordan Barloon paced Livermore's offense, picking up two kills. Barloon were helped by Marrit Poyneer and Danielle Penaflor, who contributed three assists each.
Livermore's defeat dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Foothill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Livermore is set to challenge their familiar foe Granada at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Foothill will square off against rival Amador Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
