Basketball Recap: Abingdon/Avon Find Success

If Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Abingdon/Avon, they should've done a better job of containing Alex Foutch. The Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes took down the Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans 68-53 on Tuesday thanks in part to Foutch, who posted 19 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Roy Sandberg, who scored 16 points. The match was Sandberg's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brenden Bolduc, who put up 12 points.

Abingdon/Avon's record is now 7-9. As for Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge], their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
