Basketball Game Preview: Rogers Pirates vs. East Valley Knights

The Rogers Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the East Valley Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Rogers was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-38 to Clarkston. The match marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Valley). They took down Deer Park 68-49 on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

East Valley's victory ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-14. As for Rogers, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.

Everything came up roses for Rogers against East Valley in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 74-44 win. In that contest, Rogers amassed a halftime lead of 40-17, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
