Baseball Recap: Bishop Moore Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

It's playoff time, and Bishop Moore had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Mount Dora Hurricanes 5-3. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

JT Costello looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Danny Garcia was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Nate Davis was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Bishop Moore pushed their record up to 24-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Mount Dora, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-11 record this season.
