Basketball Recap: Noble Street College Prep Skates Past Baker with Ease

Noble Street College Prep waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Baker Bobcats 43-13. For the Golden Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 36-35 victory the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Noble Street College Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sarai Gonzalez, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 18 points. Those 18 points gave Gonzalez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tiffany Gaona, who posted seven points and nine boards.

Noble Street College Prep has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.4 points per game. As for Baker, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Noble Street College Prep will welcome Hansberry at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Noble Street College Prep's defense has only allowed 24.5 points per game this season, so Hansberry's offense will have their work cut out for them. Baker does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
