Baseball Recap: Phoebus Comes Up Short

If Phoebus was feeling good fresh off their 14-6 takedown of Woodside on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Phantoms lost 13-1 to the Wolverines on Wednesday. The Phantoms were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolverines earlier this season, when they won 14-6.

Phoebus saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was King Robinson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Phoebus has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Woodside, their record is now 6-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Phoebus will face off against rival Heritage at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Woodside is set to take on their familiar foe Kecoughtan at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
