Basketball Game Preview: Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks vs. Rio Rico Hawks + Official Tickets

The Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks will head out to face off against the Rio Rico Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ironwood Ridge has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Ironwood Ridge turned things around against Eastmark on Tuesday. They secured a 56-50 W over the Firebirds.

Ironwood Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emilio Valle led the charge by going 9-for-16 en route to 18 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Dalton Yarmolovich, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Rio Rico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt an 89-39 defeat at the hands of Buena.

Rio Rico's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Ironwood Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Everything came up roses for Ironwood Ridge against Rio Rico in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured an 86-42 win. In that game, the Nighthawks amassed a halftime lead of 54-22, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
