Volleyball Recap: Pike Central Falls to Vincennes Lincoln in First Game of Season

Pike Central had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Vincennes Lincoln Alices. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-11, 25-17.

Heidi Woodford paced Pike Central's offense, picking up five kills. Woodford got some help from Braelyn Barnett and her 11 assists.

The victory got Vincennes Lincoln back to even at 1-1.

Pike Central has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Washington on the 20th. As for Vincennes Lincoln, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Sullivan on the 21st.
