Basketball Game Preview: Luray Bulldogs vs. East Rockingham Eagles

Luray is 1-9 against East Rockingham since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Luray Bulldogs will host the East Rockingham Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Luray took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They secured a 49-45 W over Stuarts Draft.

Blake Jenkins had an outrageously good game as he went 8 of 18 on his way to 23 points along with eight boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Owens, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, East Rockingham put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Madison County by a score of 40-29. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The victory got Luray back to even at 1-1. As for East Rockingham, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
