Northwestern had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 26-point drubbing they dealt Hialeah on Wednesday. The Bulls never let the Thoroughbreds get on the board and left with a 26-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulls, who have now won six games by 26 points or more so far this season.

Northwestern found their leader in freshman Jade Yacinthe, who threw for 187 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of her passes, and also rushed for 39 yards.

Northwestern didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jah'Keriyah Brown and Makayla Johnson. Johnson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Northwestern's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Hialeah, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Northwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hialeah, they will take on TERRA Environmental at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Thoroughbreds 13.5, TERRA Environmental 5) so any points scored will be well earned.
