Volleyball Recap: Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Shaylie Maye and Kinley Slatton

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe was the 2-1 winner over Coahulla Creek when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell 2-0 to the Colts on Tuesday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's loss came despite strong showings from Kinley Slatton and Shaylie Maye. Slatton had nine digs and two aces, while Maye had eight digs.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Coahulla Creek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

Coming up, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe will venture away from home to challenge Ridgeland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Coahulla Creek, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Murray County on the 9th.
