Caney Valley hadn't done well against Southeast recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Bullpups came out on top against the Lancers by a score of 2-0. The Bullpups have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lancers, too.

Caney Valley easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16.

Grace Prince paced Caney Valley's offense, picking up eight kills. Prince got some help from Emma Marshall and her 16 assists. Marshall was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Caney Valley's win bumped their record up to 20-11. As for Southeast, their loss dropped their record down to 8-16.

Caney Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Humboldt on the 11th. As for Southeast, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Parsons on the 11th.
