Baseball Recap: Paxton-Buckley-Loda Comes Up Short

Paxton-Buckley-Loda lost against Monticello back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers lost 9-3 to the Sages.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayden Vance, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. As for Monticello, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paxton-Buckley-Loda will square off against Manteno at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Manteno's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Paxton-Buckley-Loda's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Monticello, they will challenge Pontiac at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
