Football Recap: Poudre Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Poudre came into this matchup off a tough 31-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Loveland Red Wolves by a score of 17-14 on Friday. The Impalas lost against the Red Wolves in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 35-0 score last time.

Jackson Gebhardt produced another solid performance rushing for 130 yards and two TDs for Loveland. The Red Wolves are undefeated when Gebhardt posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-5 otherwise. Jaxx Sare also made an appearance on special teams (luckily for Loveland): his a 46-yard strike wound up winning them the game.

Poudre is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9. As for Loveland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-5.

Poudre does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Loveland, they will square off against Mesa Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
